About Paul - Biography
and Background
As a self-confessed Grecophile with deep personal interest in the teachings of ancient Greek philosophers, Greek language and culture, naturally, Paul has chosen Greece as his home.
A lover of the Mediterranean lifestyle he left the UK in 2014 and lived in Malta before finally following his hearts desire, moving to Greece in 2021 from where he continues to serve an International client base with a mix of both online and in person training, coaching and keynote talks. But life for Paul was not always blues skies and sea.
Paul was a police detective in Liverpool, in the UK, when an 'incident' on duty caused injuries that, over time, worsened and left him unable to walk and on sick leave for almost a year.
Ultimately, after four years of restricted light duties, rehabilitation and various failed treatments, an expert spinal surgeon gave Paul a prognosis that he would "never walk properly again" and that enforced retirement from the job he loved was the only option.
During the same period came a broken marriage. Paul lived in a converted police cell for homeless police officers and plummeted into obesity and financial difficulties. With lost confidence and no self-esteem, he became emotionally and physically broken and, with ensuing clinical depression, he felt helpless, hopeless and lost.
But, out of desperation came inspiration.
Paul turned it all around.
Starting from 'ground zero, he rebuilt his life. First, with health and fitness, healing a debilitating and crippling spinal condition using mindset, attitude and exercise.
Mission accomplished, hungry to maintain momentum but fearing he was 'unemployable', he decided to employ himself because he had left school with no formal qualifications, he set about making up for it.
Every every day for over six months, he went to the public library in the city of Liverpool. He studied, read and researched every book he could find on 'business, quality, and business process management'.
From there, his 'inspired idea' to start his first business was complete. In just eighteen months, in collaboration with a global leader in the field of ISO Business Management systems, he grew to become a thriving international 'Business Management Systems' training and consultancy business.
Initially, Paul specialised in internationally recognised Standards for business management (ISO 9001 and ISO 27001). Then continuing to grow organically, he recognised a need to add Learning and Development strategies for personal and business growth. Over the following years, he expanded his corporate training portfolio to include Leadership and Soft-Skills training and was certified as an Executive High-Performance Coach.
In a curious twist, people became as curious about his inspiring transition and transformation as they were about the specialised knowledge he acquired to do it. This led to a professional speaking certification and the addition of Inspirational International Conference Keynotes to our service portfolio.
Today, Paul uses his world-class speaking and presenting skills to not only share his knowledge and experience but to help others to realise that:
