Paul Bellard is highly motivated and committed to the development, improvement and education of all aspects of personal development and achievement. He has enjoyed and endured a varied background as far as life challenges and health is concerned.

Paul is a former Merseyside Police Officer, his duties included a range of activities including being a detective through to 'Riot' and 'unarmed defensive combat tactics' instructor . Off duty, Paul was very physically active, he trained RLSS (Royal Lifesaving Society) lifeguards and for over twenty years, he also trained and instructed Okinawan Go-Ju Ryu Karate.

However, just over ten years ago, this all literally came to a screeching halt when he was injured in a car crash on duty. Paul developed a debilitating spinal condition which led to a year off work and for a period of time, was unable to stand or walk. For good measure, his marriage failed around this time and just as he thought it couldn't get any worse the specialists said he would never walk properly again and he was retired from the career he loved.

'Change happens'! and 'change sometimes hits the fan', affecting us and those around us. Whilst we can't control 'change' we can choose, and therefore control our response to it. The quality of life that we have during change is dictated upon how we interpret and respond to that change. Life is a choice and challenges can be accepted, overcome and used as leverage to make new and more responsive and empowering decisions. In some cases, as in Paul's, those decisions can be life changing.

Paul is now sharing his strategies for positive change, continual personal development and health & vitality training.

Paul has combined his personal challenges with new qualifications, skills and experience acquired through eight years of international training & consultancy. He has qualified as a 'High Performance Coach', is a Master and Master business practitioner of Nuero-Linguistic Programming, has attended the Anthony Robbins Leadership and Life Mastery Programmes and is a REPS (Register of Exercise Professionals) registered Personal Trainer.



Why do so many people use a coach or personal trainer?


We are living in times of change! Newspapers and the TV news report of changes that affect us everyday; the economy, inflation, political change and so on.

On a more individual level, we also find ourselves talking about things WE want to change about our lives or ourselves; income, body shape, weight, job or even our relationships!

Both of these are examples of change but there is a difference between them. One is a form of change that is outside of us, and therefore over which we have no control, and the other is internal to our thinking, and therefore TOTALLY within our control.

It is true that everybody wants change in their life, but actually, what we really want are the positive changes that improve our lives and which take us forwards in some way. At the same time though, it is really important that when change is forced upon us, we find ourselves being resourceful in how we handle and use it instead of being a choice-less victim to it.
